Karima Adebibe — Biography

Born on February 14, 1985, in London, England, Karima Adebibe is an actress and model of mixed heritage, her background encompassing Moroccan, Irish, and Greek Cypriot roots. Before her rise to prominence, Adebibe worked as a sales assistant at the fashion retailer Topshop. Her life took a significant turn on February 14, 2006, the same date as Lara Croft's birthday, when she was chosen to embody the seventh and most recent portrayal of the iconic Tomb Raider character. This role entails her representing the video game franchise, appearing in character on television and radio to promote the series. To fully inhabit the part, Adebibe has been training in skills associated with Lara Croft, including martial arts and elocution. Earlier in her career, she had a role as a sacrificial maiden in the 2004 film Alien vs. Predator.
