Born on March 9, 1989, Kim Taeyeon, recognized simply as Taeyeon, is a prominent South Korean vocalist. Her career commenced in August 2007 as part of the ensemble Girls' Generation. This group rose to significant acclaim, establishing itself as one of South Korea's top-selling musical acts and achieving global recognition within the K-pop scene. Taeyeon has also lent her talents to various other ventures under the SM Entertainment banner, such as Girls' Generation-TTS, SM the Ballad, Girls' Generation-Oh!GG, and the collaborative unit Got the Beat. As of the close of 2023, her presence on Instagram boasted a following of 19.1 million individuals.
