Lacey Chabert — Biography
Lacey Nicole Chabert is an accomplished actress recognized for numerous television and film roles throughout her career. She gained widespread recognition portraying Claudia Salinger on the drama series Party of Five and playing Gretchen Wieners in the feature film Mean Girls. Her voice acting work includes voicing the character Eliza Thornberry in both the animated television series The Wild Thornberrys and two corresponding feature films, as well as providing the voice for Meg Griffin during the inaugural season of the animated comedy Family Guy before Mila Kunis assumed the role.
Chabert relocated to Southern California in 1994 alongside her family to pursue her role on Party of Five, where she has remained based. Her early recognition included winning the title of World's Baby Petite at the World's Our Little Miss Scholarship Competition in 1985. Beginning in 1998, she has consistently voiced Eliza Thornberry across the animated series and appeared in The Wild Thornberrys Movie in 2002 and Rugrats Go Wild in 2003. During Family Guy's first production season in 1999, she voiced the principal character before transitioning out of the role.
Her film and television career expanded with the starring role in The Brooke Ellison Story, a television movie produced by Christopher Reeve that chronicled the true story of a quadriplegic Harvard graduate.
