Lindsay Hamilton — Biography

Lindsay Hamilton became a fixture at TSN in September 2016, taking on anchoring duties for SportsCentre. Her broadcasting career began at an early age, making her the inaugural host for The Family Channel in 2008. For over half a decade, she engaged in interviews with prominent figures from the entertainment, sports, and music worlds spanning North America. Her notable interviews included those with Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and the group One Direction.

While undertaking a dual major in communications and film at McMaster University, Hamilton took the initiative to create, produce, and host a range of segments for MacTV, a digital television platform that covered both sports and local entertainment news. Her time at McMaster also saw her develop, produce, and host a sports radio program on CFMU. In 2012, Hamilton was a host for events celebrating the 100th Grey Cup Anniversary Week. By 2014, she was part of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, hosting for the Toronto Marlies, IIHF World Juniors, and Toronto Maple Leafs games and team functions. The subsequent year, Hamilton was the host for the 2015 Pan Am Games torch relay throughout Ontario and provided commentary for artistic gymnastics during the Games in Toronto.

Her journey continued as she joined CBC Radio as a sports reporter in March 2016. During the Rio 2016 Olympics, she was an integral part of the CBC News Network team, delivering national sports updates each morning of the competition. Growing up in Mississauga, Ontario, Hamilton was an active participant in various sports, notably playing varsity lacrosse at McMaster University and competing at the provincial level with Team Ontario. Today, Hamilton maintains her active lifestyle through pursuits like squash, tennis, water-skiing, and running.
