Lynn Gilmartin — Biography

Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Lynn Gilmartin carved out a notable career in entertainment and sports broadcasting. Born in Dublin, Ireland in 1984, her family relocated to Australia two years later. Gilmartin's presence on television first registered with audiences as the presenter of the 2012 Aussie Millions Poker Championship, a role she held for its 2013 broadcast. Her involvement in the poker world deepened when she served as a sideline reporter for ESPN Australia's coverage of the 2013 WSOP Asia Pacific.

The year 2013 marked a significant step as Gilmartin relocated to Los Angeles to take up the prominent position of anchor for the World Poker Tour, which aired on Fox Sports. In this capacity, she worked alongside esteemed commentators Mike Sexton and Vincent Van Patten. Concurrently, Gilmartin also anchored and contributed to the co-production of World Poker Tour's elite series, WPT Alpha8, broadcast on FS1 starting in 2014.

Transitioning into acting, Gilmartin made her film debut in 2018 with a role as Gemma in the movie Museo, sharing the screen with Gael García Bernal. Her filmography has since expanded to include Australian productions such as How Do You Know Chris? (2020), The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee (2020), which featured Paul Hogan, and This Little Love of Mine (2021). In 2020, she also made a guest appearance on the long-running Australian television drama Neighbours, portraying the character Jessica Quince.

Recognizing her extensive work in poker broadcasting, Gilmartin was honored in January 2020 with induction into the Australian Poker Hall of Fame at Crown Melbourne, acknowledging her more than ten years of significant contributions to bringing the game to the public.
