Margarita Levieva — Biography

Margarita Levieva, a prominent figure in American cinema, was born in Leningrad, within the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, a city now known as Saint Petersburg in the Russian Federation. Her early years, commencing at the tender age of three, were dedicated to the demanding discipline of competitive rhythmic gymnastics. This intensive training regimen spanned thirteen years, during which she achieved victories in various Russian competitions. Subsequently, following her emigration, she continued to showcase her athletic prowess on the competitive stage in the United States.

When Levieva reached the age of eleven, her mother relocated the family, including her twin brother, to the vibrant neighborhood of Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn, New York City. Her secondary education was completed at a high school in Secaucus, New Jersey. Academically, Levieva pursued a degree in economics at New York University. Her professional life also included a period working as a fashion buyer.

Driven by an enduring passion for performance, Levieva later enrolled in the Meisner Training Program at the esteemed William Esper Studio, honing her craft as an actress.
