Maria Elisa Camargo — Biography
Maria Elisa Camargo, a native of Guayaquil, Ecuador, is recognized for her work as an actress and singer. Her introduction to the world of television came with her participation in the inaugural season of the reality competition El Factor X, the Latin American iteration of The X Factor. She is presently engaged in the creation of her initial solo musical project. Born in 1985 to Colombian parents, Camargo relocated to Bogota, Colombia, at the age of nineteen. There, she commenced her academic pursuits in Economics at La Universidad de los Andes, a path she would later set aside to dedicate herself to acting.
In 2008, Camargo made the move to Mexico. During her time there, after attending various auditions, she connected with producer Pedro Damián. He offered her a role in the reimagining of the Argentine telenovela Verano del 98, retitled Verano de Amor. In this production, she portrayed Isabella Roca, a character who served as the antagonist. Continuing her trajectory in television, in 2010 she took on the role of Kristel in the telenovela "Llena de amor," again embodying a villainous persona.
