Meg Myles — Biography

For some individuals, a career as a glamor model can be a stepping stone, while for others, it may lead to being pigeonholed. This was the experience of Meg Myles. Early in her career, she gained significant popularity as a pin-up girl, particularly appealing to the readership of men's magazines, including many G.I.s who admired her remarkable 42-24-36 figure. The 1950s were characterized by captivating glamour figures, and Myles stood out among them. However, she sought more than just being recognized for her physical appearance. In the late 1950s, she attempted to break into film and television but faced limited success. She then ventured into music, though her singing aspirations were derailed by an unfounded tabloid scandal involving Sammy Davis Jr. In the 1960s, she returned to acting and appeared in the cult classic "Satan in High Heels" (1962) alongside notable actress Sabrina. Following this film, Myles transitioned into theater, where she enjoyed a successful career, garnering substantial acclaim over the subsequent decades.
