Merle Pertile — Biography

Merle Pertile joined the ensemble of Playboy's Penthouse for its 1960-61 season, becoming a consistent presence on the show. It was during this period that she encountered Hugh Hefner for the first time. Her passing in 1997 was attributed to difficulties arising after undergoing heart surgery.
