Michaela McManus — Biography
Born on May 20, 1983, American actress Michaela McManus hails from Warwick, Rhode Island, where her parents, James and Patricia McManus, also reside. After completing her studies at Fordham University, she briefly pursued graduate acting studies at NYU before relocating to Los Angeles to advance her professional endeavors.
McManus first gained significant recognition in 2008 for her role as Lindsey Strauss in the fifth season of the popular drama One Tree Hill, portraying a romantic interest for the character Lucas Scott. Following her departure from that series, she secured a guest spot on CSI: NY. Her career continued to flourish with her casting as Assistant District Attorney Kim Greylek in the tenth season of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Although her tenure on SVU was cut short midway through the season with the return of ADA Alexandra Cabot, McManus remained credited in the opening titles. It was later confirmed she would not be returning to the show.
Since then, McManus has made guest appearances on numerous prominent television shows, including Castle, CSI: Miami, The Vampire Diaries, and Hawaii Five-0. She also featured in The Wanted's music video for "Glad You Came." Her leading roles include playing Tara in the 2012 NBC series Awake and Grace Karn in the 2015 drama Aquarius. In 2017, she took on supporting roles as Alana Hayes in SEAL Team and the Krill Teleya in The Orville. More recently, she portrayed Sarah Campbell in the short-lived NBC series The Village in 2019, and in November 2020, she joined the cast of the Netflix thriller You in a recurring capacity for its third season.

The couple welcomed their first child, son Gabriel October Daniels, on April 3, 2014, followed by their second son, Declan Griffith Daniels, on September 13, 2016. Their daughter, Indigo Irene Daniels, was born on May 12, 2021. McManus has Irish ancestry.
