Michelle Trachtenberg — Biography

Michelle Christine Trachtenberg was an American actress renowned for her performances in various television shows and films. She gained significant recognition for her work in The Adventures of Pete & Pete (1994–1996), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (2000–2003), EuroTrip (2004), and Gossip Girl (2007–2012). In 1997, she received a Young Artist Award for her role in Meego. Trachtenberg's filmography also includes appearances in Ice Princess (2005), Mysterious Skin (2004), and Black Christmas (2006). During the 2010s, she featured in television movies such as Killing Kennedy (2013) and Sister Cities (2015). Additionally, she lent her voice to the character Judy in Human Kind Of (2018) and took on the role of executive producer for Guidance (2015–2017) and Meet, Marry, Murder (2021). Coming from a background of Ashkenazi Jewish, German, and Russian heritage, Trachtenberg started her career in television commercials and quickly gained fame through her work on Nickelodeon's The Adventures of Pete & Pete. Tragically, she passed away in 2025 at the age of 39 due to complications following a liver transplant.
