Monique Alfradique — Biography
Monique Alfradique is a Brazilian performer, known for her work in acting and as a television host. Her aspiration to perform on screen first took root during her early days in children's theater and commercial shoots. Her television career commenced on Rede Globo's Programa da Xuxa, where she served as a "paquita" from 1999 to 2002. Following brief roles in Malhação and Agora É que São Elas, she secured her inaugural leading part in the telenovela O Clone.
In 2006, while simultaneously performing in Nelson Rodrigues' play A Mentira, Monique was cast as Priscila, a villainous protagonist in Malhação. She remained with the program for eighteen months before departing to portray Fernanda in Beleza Pura. Subsequently, she relocated to São Paulo for a production of Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors. In 2004, Monique appeared in André Prado's film Loucuras a Dois, alongside Giselle Policarpo.
Her involvement extended to the music scene in 2008 when she featured in the music video for Fresno's "Someone Que Te Faz Sorrir." The following year, she took on the role of Bárbara Romero, granddaughter to Susana Vieira's character, in the miniseries Cinquentinha. Also in 2009, she played Érica Castiglione, granddaughter to Berta Loran's character, a young doctor in Cama de Gato. In 2011, Monique reprised her role as Bárbara Romero in Lara com Z, a continuation of Cinquentinha, and returned to the stage in Molière's School for Wives. That same year, she also appeared in the telenovela Fina Estampa.
In 2014, she portrayed Luiza, a young psychology student who transitions into a call girl, in the Multishow series A Segunda Vez. Monique also showcased her skills on Rede Globo's Domingão do Faustão, participating in the programs Dança no Gelo and Desafio do Faustão, ultimately triumphing in a challenge that saw her parade with all fourteen samba schools in São Paulo.
