Natasha Lyonne — Biography

Natasha Lyonne is an American performer and creator recognized for her impactful work on television and in film. She captured widespread attention as Nicky Nichols in the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black, a role that earned her an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress. More recently, she has captivated audiences as Nadia Vulvokov in the Netflix original Russian Doll, a critically acclaimed show she also helped bring to life as a co-creator, executive producer, writer, and director. This innovative series has garnered Lyonne three Emmy nominations, including one for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. Her presence on television continues with her starring role in the Peacock mystery series Poker Face, which began in 2023. In recognition of her considerable influence, Time magazine honored Lyonne with a place on its list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2023.

Lyonne's journey in cinema began in 1986 with an uncredited bit part in Heartburn. She achieved broader recognition for her role as Jessica in the popular American Pie franchise, spanning from 1999 to 2012. Her filmography also includes notable performances in Slums of Beverly Hills, But I'm a Cheerleader, Die, Mommie, Die!, and Antibirth.
