Nathalie Kelley — Biography
Nathalie Kelley, a Peruvian-Australian talent, first captured attention for her portrayal of Neela in the 2006 action flick The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Her career expanded to encompass a range of television projects, including appearances in Body of Proof from 2011 to 2012, Unreal in 2015, and prominent roles in The Vampire Diaries between 2016 and 2017, followed by Dynasty from 2017 to 2018. Most recently, in 2020, she took on the leading part of Noa Hamilton in the ABC series The Baker and the Beauty.
Kelley's journey began in Lima, Peru, with a Peruvian mother and an Argentine father. Her family relocated to Sydney when she was just two years old. From an early age, the desire to perform and act was a strong ambition for her. She pursued her education at North Sydney Girls High School. In 2005, a pivotal opportunity arose when Charmed executive producers Brad Kern, Aaron Spelling, and E. Duke Vincent created a pilot episode for The WB network. Titled Mermaid, this one-hour show featured Kelley in the central role of Nikki, a mermaid discovered and aided by a young man after washing ashore in Miami. Ultimately, the pilot did not move forward to a full series, a decision attributed to the merger of The WB and UPN, which ultimately formed The CW and did not select the show.
