Ornella Muti — Biography

Ornella Muti is an Italian actress who gained prominence through her portrayal of Princess Aura in the 1980 science fiction film Flash Gordon. Born to a Neapolitan father who worked as a journalist and an Estonian mother named Ilse Renate Krause, a sculptor with Estonian heritage on her paternal side and Russian ancestry from St. Petersburg on her maternal side, Muti grew up in a creatively inclined household. She has an older sister, Claudia Rivelli, who is also an actress and performed in photo novels during the 1970s. Muti is the mother of actress Naike Rivelli. By March 2026, she had cultivated a substantial social media presence, with her Instagram account reaching 384,000 followers.
