Pamela Rose Martinez — Biography

Pamela Rose Martinez is a professional wrestler from the United States. As of January 2024, she is part of WWE, performing on the SmackDown brand under the name Bayley. Bayley holds the record for the longest reign as WWE SmackDown Women's Champion, lasting an impressive 380 days. She began her wrestling career on the independent circuit from 2008 to 2012, using the ring name Davina Rose. In 2012, Martinez joined WWE and was assigned to the NXT brand, where she transitioned to the name Bayley, intentionally choosing the spelling to represent her Bay Area roots.

In 2015, she secured the NXT Women's Championship and took home the 2015 NXT Year-End Awards for Female Competitor of the Year as well as Match of the Year for her match with Sasha Banks at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn. Throughout her career, Bayley has captured the WWE Raw Women's Championship, the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship, and the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, making her the first woman to achieve both the Triple Crown and Grand Slam titles in WWE history. She also triumphed in the 2019 Money in the Bank ladder match and made history as the first woman to defend a WWE title in Saudi Arabia. In 2024, she won the Royal Rumble match, setting a new women's record time of 1 hour and 3 minutes.

Martinez draws inspiration from a diverse group of wrestlers including Bret Hart, Eddie Guerrero, The Hardy Boyz, Ivory, John Cena, Lita (Amy Dumas), Randy Orton, Randy Savage, Rey Mysterio, The Rock, Triple H, Trish Stratus, and Victoria (Lisa Marie Varon).
