Poppy Montgomery — Biography

Poppy Montgomery is an accomplished actress hailing from Australia. She is best known for her role as FBI agent Samantha Spade in the CBS mystery drama Without a Trace, a role she portrayed from 2002 until 2009. Following that, she took on the character of Detective Carrie Wells in the CBS/A&E police drama Unforgettable, where she performed from 2011 to 2016. From 2005 to 2011, she was in a relationship with actor Adam Kaufman, with whom she shares a son named Jackson Phillip Deveraux Montgomery Kaufman, born on December 23, 2007. In late 2011, Montgomery began a relationship with Shawn Sanford, the director of lifestyle marketing for Microsoft, whom she met while in Puerto Rico. In April 2013, she and Sanford welcomed their daughter, Violet Grace, followed by the birth of their son Gus Monroe in November 2014. On April 4, 2014, during an appearance on Live! with Kelly and Michael, Montgomery disclosed that she and Sanford had married on Chinese New Year at Disneyland, with their children in attendance. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California. As of June 2024, she has gained a following of 148,000 on Instagram.
