Sanna Mirelle Marin — Biography
Sanna Mirella Marin is a Finnish ex-politician who held the position of prime minister of Finland from 2019 until 2023 and led the Social Democratic Party of Finland (SDP) from 2020 to 2023. She served as a Member of Parliament from 2015 through 2023. Although she was re-elected to parliament in April 2023, she stepped down to take on the role of strategic adviser for political leaders' reform initiatives at the Tony Blair Institute in September 2023. Marin has a daughter, born in 2018, with her former partner, Markus Räikkönen, who works in communications. In August 2020, Marin and Räikkönen married at the official residence for the Prime Minister, known as Kesäranta. The couple sought a divorce in May 2023 after being together for 19 years.
