Sharlene Mawdsley — Biography

Hailing from County Tipperary, Sharlene Mawdsley is a dynamic track athlete based in Dublin, Ireland. Her academic journey led her to a sociology degree from the University of Limerick. Mawdsley's athletic prowess has seen her represent Ireland on the international stage. She participated in the women's 400 metres at the 2021 European Athletics Indoor Championships. A significant highlight of her career came in August 2023 when she reached the semi-finals of the World Athletics Championships 400 metres. That same championship saw her compete in the finals of both the women's and mixed 4x400 metres relays, a demanding schedule that involved six races over a nine-day period.
