Born in Braga, Portugal, on October 18, 1990, Sonia Carneiro is a French sports journalist whose focus is the world of football. Her formative years were spent in France, where a lifelong love for the sport blossomed from childhood. She pursued her academic path in journalism at the prestigious École Supérieure de Journalisme de Paris. Carneiro's professional journey commenced at L'Équipe 21, a platform that provided an early outlet for her extensive passion for athletics, with a particular emphasis on football. Her expertise subsequently graced a variety of sports broadcasts and publications, including BeIN Sport, Eurosport, iTélé, the pages of Cosmopolitan magazine, Canal Plus, and RMC Sport. During her tenure at RMC Sport, Carneiro distinguished herself by offering commentary on football, rugby, and tennis.
