Über Teri Weigel
Teri Weigel, originally named Teresa Susan Weigel, was born on February 24, 1962, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She spent her early years growing up in Deerfield Beach within a devout Catholic household, alongside her two sisters and two brothers. Of mixed Swiss, German, and Irish heritage, Teri began her modeling career at the age of 15, studying at the John Robert Powers School of Modeling and featuring in catalogs for Saks Fifth Avenue and advertisements for Burdines, eventually gracing the cover of Seventeen magazine. At 17, she earned the title of Miss Teenage Deerfield Beach and relocated to New York, traveling from New Jersey for various modeling assignments, including work for French Vogue and Italian Men’s fashion.
Her modeling achievements included her appearance on the cover of Playboy in November 1985, her recognition as Playmate of the Month in April 1986, and features in Playboy videos such as Girls of Winter (1988) and Book of Lingerie (1989–1991). Teri's appearances in mainstream television and film included roles in Miami Vice (1985–1986), the campy Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (1998) alongside George Clooney, Predator 2 (1990) portraying the Colombian Girl, Marked for Death (1990), Savage Beach (1989), and several episodes of Married… with Children as the character Jade during 1988–1990. She also featured in Calloway’s music video for “I Wanna Be Rich.”
Notably, Teri made history as the first Playmate to appear in hardcore pornography after her stint with Playboy, which began in 1991. Although Susan Lynn Kiger, who was Miss January 1977, had previously filmed a hardcore movie prior to her Playmate shoot unbeknownst to Playboy, Teri's transition was very public. She was also the second Playmate to feature in Penthouse magazine (following Ursula Buchfellner in November 1985), though not as Pet of the Month; that distinction belonged to Lynn Thomas. Teri claimed her entry into pornography was not a sought-after move but rather a necessity spurred by Playboy ceasing to utilize her, a challenging relationship with new CEO Christine Hefner, and the need for income following a serious car accident in 1990 that led to multiple surgeries.
Her husband shared the same lifestyle as they were both swingers, which made her transition to porn more accessible. Teri's debut in the industry occurred with Inferno (1991) alongside Marc Wallice, Ashley Nicole, and Joey Silvera. Over her career, she appeared in more than 150 adult films, collaborating with notable studios like Wicked Pictures, Brazzers, and Vivid on prominent titles such as Wicked (1991), where she filmed her first girl/girl scene with Madison Stone, Teri’s Fantasies (1991), and Sex (1994).
