Tiffany Mynx, born Shannon Colleen Cummings on October 7, 1971, in Upland, California, is a retired American adult entertainment performer, model, dancer, escort, director, and producer who earned numerous accolades throughout her career. Standing just over five feet three inches tall with blonde hair and curvaceous features, she comes from an Irish background and grew up as the eldest of two children in Orange County, California. After leaving home at seventeen following an abusive relationship that resulted in a son, she relocated to Los Angeles at age nineteen to stay with her grandmother.
She entered the adult film industry as an exotic dancer in 1992 and began her on-camera career with a Penthouse video before making her first explicit film appearance in VCAs The DJ at age twenty. She married fellow adult performer Cody Adams in 1995. Following the birth of her second son and subsequent breast enhancement surgery, she signed with Elegant Angel, where company founder Patrick Collins gave her the stage name Buttwoman in 1997.
