Tobey Torres — Biography
Tobey Torres, an American artist known for her vocal talents, first garnered attention for her singing in the San Francisco Bay Area. A brief, two-song demonstration was enough to secure her a recording contract with Interscope Records. Torres rose to prominence as the charismatic lead singer and public face of the electronic and industrial music group Snake River Conspiracy. In this role, she traveled extensively, performing alongside prominent acts such as A Perfect Circle, Queens of the Stone Age, and Filter. Her musical career also saw her sign a solo artist deal with Warner Brothers. Furthermore, Torres lent her voice as a session vocalist for numerous projects released under the Warner/Reprise labels. She is recognized for her impressive vocal range, fluidly moving between smooth melodies and powerful screams. After Snake River Conspiracy concluded, Torres joined forces with her bandmate and husband, Mitchell Doran, to establish the metallic industrial band Mojave Phone Booth.
