Jane Esther Hamilton, known professionally as Veronica Hart, hails from Las Vegas, Nevada. Over the course of her career, she graced 220 magazine covers, featured in 25 photosets, and starred in 185 videos for numerous companies, including Caballero, VCA, Vivid, Video X Pix, Adam & Eve, and Hustler Video, among others, before taking a brief hiatus from the industry in 2013. She ultimately stepped away for good in 2022. Hart, a notable figure in adult entertainment, held director credits from 1988 to 2021. According to Boobpedia, she is recognized as a former American adult film star and as a current director who made her mark during the 1980s. She has been credited under several names, including Jane Esther Hamilton, Jane Hamilton, V. Hart, Veronica Heart, Victoria Holt, Kathryn Stanleigh, Randee Styles, or simply Veronica.

Veronica Hart is an esteemed member of the AVN Hall of Fame. She completed her degree in theatre at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, graduating in 1979. Following her studies, she spent some time in England while pursuing careers in modeling and acting. An unfortunate incident involving a coffee urn that caused scarring on one side of her body prompted her to transition into the adult film industry, where she began her career in 1980 and remained active until 1984. Hart is particularly renowned for her roles in notable films such as Amanda by Night, Roommates, and A Scent of Heather. Nowadays, she continues to direct, edit, and produce adult films, while also making occasional non-sexual cameo appearances in both mainstream and adult projects.

Veronica's personal experiences have served as inspiration for certain plot elements in Paul Thomas Anderson's 1997 film, Boogie Nights, particularly concerning the character Amber Waves and her custody issues. Hart even took on the role of a judge in the film, featuring in a scene that depicted a custody dispute between Amber and her husband. She was later cast in another work by Anderson, Magnolia.
