Vicki Peterson — Biography
Vicki Peterson, born Victoria Anne Theresa Peterson Cowsill, stands as a key figure in American rock music, recognized for both her guitar prowess and her songwriting talents. From the very inception of The Bangles in 1981, she has held the position of lead guitarist. Following the band's initial dissolution in 1989, Peterson has consistently rejoined her bandmates, Michael Steele and Susanna Hoffs, for every reunion that has occurred since. During the periods when The Bangles were not actively performing, Peterson lent her musical talents to other projects, notably spending considerable time with the group the Continental Drifters. She shares a familial connection with fellow Bangles member Debbi Peterson, who is her sister.
