Vivica Fox — Biography

Born on July 30, 1964, Vivica Anjanetta Fox is an American actress recognized for her performances in films like Independence Day and Set It Off, both released in 1996, and the 1997 drama Soul Food. She also gained acclaim for her work in Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003), Motives (2004), and a guest role on Curb Your Enthusiasm in 2007. Of African American and Native American heritage, Fox entered the world on July 30, 1964, in South Bend, Indiana. Her parents are Everlyena, who worked as a pharmaceutical technician, and William Fox, an administrator at a private school.

Fox completed her secondary education at Arlington High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, and later earned an Associate of Arts degree in Social Sciences from Golden West College. She has openly embraced the term "cougar" to describe herself. In December 1998, Fox exchanged vows with singer Christopher Harvest, also known as Sixx-Nine, though the couple later divorced in June 2002. Her romantic involvement with rapper 50 Cent was notably referenced in songs by Missy Elliott and The Game, as well as by 50 Cent himself. She was also indirectly acknowledged in The Game's diss track targeting 50 Cent.

On March 20, 2007, Fox was taken into custody for driving under the influence. Reports indicate she was traveling at 80 miles per hour on the US 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley, exceeding the speed limit and passing a marked police vehicle. She was transported to Van Nuys jail, where two breathalyzer tests indicated a blood alcohol content above California's legal limit of 0.08. It was during her time in California that she began her professional acting career, initially appearing in daytime soap operas such as Generations, Days of Our Lives, and The Young and the Restless. She was initially cast as Emily Franklin in the pilot of ABC's Living Dolls, a spin-off of Who's the Boss?, but Halle Berry ultimately took over the role for the remainder of the series.
