Zheng Qinwen — Biography

Born on October 8, 2002, Zheng Qinwen is a Chinese professional tennis star. Her prowess on the court has seen her reach a career-high ranking of world No. 4 in women's singles as recognized by the WTA in June 2025. This impressive achievement places her in elite company, as she is only the second Chinese athlete to break into the top 5, following the legendary Li Na.

Zheng's trophy cabinet boasts five career singles titles. Notably, she secured the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, an historic victory making her the first Asian tennis player to claim an Olympic singles gold. Her journey to WTA Tour success began in 2023 with a win at the Palermo Ladies Open, a title she successfully defended in 2024. Across her career, her accolades include a total of five WTA Tour titles, one WTA Challenger title, and eight ITF singles titles.
