Alia Bhatt, born on March 15, 1993, is a British actress and YouTuber of Indian heritage who primarily appears in Hindi cinema. She has garnered numerous awards, including four prestigious Filmfare Awards. Recognized as one of the highest-paid actresses in India, she has consistently featured in Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list since 2014 and was a recipient of the TIME100 Impact Award in 2022.

Coming from the esteemed Bhatt family, Alia is the daughter of director Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan. Her acting career commenced as a child when she appeared in the 1999 thriller Sangharsh, but it was her first lead role in Karan Johar’s 2012 teen drama Student of the Year that marked her breakthrough. She earned the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of a kidnapping victim in the 2014 road film Highway, further solidifying her position through significant parts in notable romantic films from Johar's Dharma Productions, as well as the coming-of-age story Dear Zindagi (2016).
