Alia Lia Shelesh — Biography

Alia Shelesh, professionally recognized as SSSniperWolf, stands as one of YouTube's most subscribed content creators with more than 34.2 million followers on the platform. Her channel focuses primarily on Call of Duty gameplay demonstrations, reaction content, and elaborate cosplay performances centered on anime and gaming characters. Shelesh began her gaming journey at age six and adopted her online moniker from the stealth-action title Metal Gear Solid. Among her most viewed pieces is a cosplay video titled "Misty Cosplay (Black Ops 2 Zombies)" featuring her portrayal of Abigail "Misty" Briarton from the zombie mode. In 2014, she established a secondary YouTube channel called LittleLiaWolf dedicated to do-it-yourself craft content. As of September 2024, her social media presence extends across multiple platforms, including 5.3 million Instagram followers, 19.0 million TikTok followers, 34.6 million YouTube subscribers, and 340,000 Twitch followers.

Shelesh became embroiled in a notable dispute with YouTuber John Patrick Douglass, known professionally as jacksfilms. Douglass publicly criticized her for earning revenue from reaction videos that frequently lacked proper attribution to original creators, arguing her content lacked sufficient transformative value to qualify for fair use protections. Beginning in 2022, Douglass launched a parody account under the name JJJacksfilms mimicking her video style. Shelesh responded through social media posts alleging sexism and plagiarism against Douglass. In October 2023, while filming near Douglass's residence, Shelesh asked her audience about visiting him and shared his house location via Instagram story with the caption "let's talk like adults" before deleting it. Douglass accused her of doxing, describing her behavior as disturbing and inappropriate, and requested YouTube revoke her monetization rights. His wife expressed safety concerns about the incident. Shelesh denied understanding doxing procedures and characterized Douglass as manufacturing controversy for profit. Prominent streamer Pokimane publicly sided with Douglass, drawing comparisons between the two creators. YouTube temporarily suspended Shelesh's earnings on October 20 following a Change.org petition with 13,000 signatures calling for her removal. After Shelesh apologized via tweet acknowledging her actions as indefensible, she continued uploading through her secondary channel before it too faced demonetization. In addition, creator Azra Bajrami, known as Azzyland, accused Shelesh of copying her content and alleged a physical assault occurred between them at a 2018 Fortnite event.
