Althea Currier — Biography

Althea Currier made her mark on screen in a handful of Russ Meyer productions during the early 1960s. Beyond her film work, Currier established herself as a presence in the realm of glamour and nude modeling, gracing the pages of numerous men's publications prevalent at the time. These included titles such as Mosaic, Modern Man, Adam, Scamp, All Man, and Man's Life. Her image was also prominently featured in Adam magazine's 1964 full-color calendar. Demonstrating her engagement with the publication, Currier penned an advice segment for Adam titled "Ask Althea," which ran for three years, from 1964 to 1967. In 1965, she also pursued a career as an exotic dancer at Chuck Landis' Largo Strip Club in Los Angeles. Currier eventually stepped away from the entertainment industry toward the close of the 1960s, opting to focus on raising her family.
