Ana Ibis Fernandez — Biography

Ana Ibis Fernández Valle, born August 3, 1973, hails from Sancti Spíritus and is a distinguished figure in Cuban volleyball. Her illustrious career saw her represent Cuba in four Olympic Games. Fernández was a pivotal member of the Cuban national team that achieved Olympic glory, securing gold medals at the 1992, 1996, and 2000 Olympic Games. Her Olympic success extended to the 2004 Games, where she contributed to the team's bronze medal victory. Beyond her Olympic achievements, Fernández also helped lead the Cuban squad to gold at the 1994 and 1998 FIVB World Championships.
