Ana Ortiz — Biography
Born on January 25, 1971, Ana Ortiz is an actress who has graced both the stage and screen. Her artistic journey began with a dedication to ballet and singing in her formative years, leading her to the halls of the University of the Arts. Ortiz first honed her craft in theatrical productions before making her mark in early 2000s television with brief appearances on NBC's Kristin in 2001 and A.U.S.A. in 2003. She also lent her talents to recurring parts in Over There and Boston Legal. However, it was her portrayal of Hilda Suarez in the ABC comedy-drama Ugly Betty, from 2006 to 2010, that truly propelled her into the public consciousness. Ortiz's filmography includes roles in Labor Pains (2009) and Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son (2011), as well as the lead in the 2008 television movie Little Girl Lost: The Delimar Vera Story. From 2013 to 2016, she captivated audiences as Marisol Suarez in the Lifetime series Devious Maids, a performance that earned her an Imagen Award for Best Actress - Television.
