Ann Victoria Pennington hails from Seattle, Washington, where she gained recognition by appearing on two Playboy covers and in two videos. She became Playboy's Playmate of the Month in March 1976. Ann is the sibling of another model, Janice Pennington, and, like her sister, found opportunities as a model on various game shows. Her most recognized role was as a regular contestant on "Card Sharks," and she also stepped in as a substitute for the 1976 edition of "The Nighttime Price Is Right," hosted by Dennis James. In addition to game shows, she featured in commercials and contributed photographs for articles in Cosmopolitan magazine. Ann wed Shaun Cassidy, who is eight years younger, in December 1979. The couple welcomed two children before their divorce in 1993. One of Ann's daughters, Caitlin Ann, was named Playboy Cyber Girl of the Week on February 28, 2011. Caitlin expressed, "As a child, I felt shy about my mom being a Playmate, but with time, I came to value it. Now that I've posed too, I hold a deeper appreciation for her and for Playboy as well. Playboy knows how to highlight the beauty of a woman's body. People say I resemble my mom all the time! They mistake us for sisters, and I find that to be a very flattering compliment." Ann was also featured as Playboy Italy's Playmate of the Month in April 1976.
