Ashley Cox, born on November 15, 1956, is an American nude model and actress. She gained recognition as Playboy’s Playmate of the Month for December 1977, with her iconic centerfold captured by photographer Mario Casilli. Cox was notably one of Hugh Hefner's "Personal Playmates," a designation Hefner used for women he seriously dated. Prior to her stint as a Playmate, she began her acting career, making an appearance in the 1976 science fiction film Logan's Run. After her feature in Playboy, she continued to work in the industry until 1984, when she decided to step back and return to Texas. There, she took on a role as a legal secretary and also owned an aerobics studio for a period. Throughout her career, she appeared in films such as Logan's Run, Drive-In, and Looker. A mother of two, Cox shared her insights in The Playboy Book in 1996, stating, "I've been married several times, and I'm still looking for my knight in shining armor. Men think they want a fantasy girl, but when they meet somebody who's been a centerfold and dated a couple of well-known actors, I think that overwhelms them." She was also recognized as Playboy France's Playmate of the Month in December 1977, followed by Playboy Italy's in January 1978, and Playboy Brazil's in February 1978.
