Audrey Fleurot — Biography

Audrey Fleurot is an acclaimed French actress, born on July 6, 1977, in Mantes-la-Jolie, a town located west of Paris. She is widely recognized for her roles as: - The Lady of the Lake in the series "Kaamelott" (2005-2009), - Lawyer Joséphine Karlsson in the crime drama "Spiral" ("Engrenages") (2005-2020), alongside Caroline Proust, - Hortense Larcher in "Un village français" (2009-2017), - Magalie in the internationally celebrated film "The Intouchables" (2011). Fleurot is the only child of a firefighter, who was associated with the notable Comédie-Française, and a mother who worked as a nursery nurse. After completing her secondary education at Lycée Lamartine in Paris, where she earned an A3 theatre baccalaureate, she pursued further studies at the University of Paris I - Panthéon Sorbonne (UFR Arts plastiques et sciences de l'art) from 1995 to 1997, ultimately graduating from the École nationale supérieure des arts et techniques du théâtre in Lyon in 2000. Initially focused on theatre, she quickly transitioned to television and film, gaining significant attention for her impressive performances. In 2001, she made a prominent appearance in Sully Sefil's music video for "J'voulais," taking on the role of a bank robber's girlfriend. Her career gained momentum in 2005 when she portrayed the Lady of the Lake in "Kaamelott" and the driven lawyer Joséphine Karlsson in the highly acclaimed series "Spiral." Additionally, she played the role of Hortense Larcher, the mayor's spouse, in "Un village français." Fleurot was interviewed by Christophe Chabert in Act II of the documentary "Aux sources de Kaamelott," produced between 2006 and 2010, which served as a companion to the "Six Books" DVD collection. In 2011, she appeared in Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris," although she expressed disappointment over how much of her role was cut in post-production. That same year, she landed a supporting role in "The Intouchables," which achieved remarkable international acclaim. In 2015, she featured in the first season of "Call My Agent!," playing herself. The following year, she starred in the mini-series "Le Bazar de la Charité," which aired on TF1 and Netflix. Since 2021, she has headlined the television series "HPI - Haut Potentiel Intellectuel," which has significantly expanded her fame both in France and abroad. In her personal life, she is in a relationship with actor-director Djibril Glissant, and they welcomed a son in late 2015.
