Becky Lynch — Biography

Rebecca Quin is a renowned Irish professional wrestler, recognized notably for her work with WWE under the ring name Becky Lynch. In 2019, X (previously Twitter) acknowledged her as the sixth Top Female Athlete Worldwide. Her journey in wrestling began in 2002 when she started training. Initially competing in Ireland and occasionally teaming with her brother as Rebecca Knox, she later expanded her wrestling career across Europe and North America on the independent circuit, with a standout performance in Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling, where she became the first SuperGirls Champion in 2005.

In 2006, Quin sustained a serious head injury during a match, which sidelined her from wrestling for several years. She made her comeback in 2012 and joined WWE in 2013, being assigned to NXT, the developmental area of the organization. After successfully transitioning to WWE's main roster, she captured the inaugural SmackDown Women's Championship at Backlash in 2016, claiming the title four times in total. In 2018, Lynch reinvented her persona to a more ruthless character after an altercation with Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam, portraying herself as an underappreciated fighter and adopting the moniker "The Man," which significantly boosted her popularity.

In 2019, she triumphed in the Royal Rumble, and during WrestleMania 35, she emerged victorious in both the Raw and SmackDown Women's Championships, becoming the first woman to hold both belts simultaneously and marking her as a four-time WWE women's champion. Although she lost the SmackDown title the following month, she set a record for the longest Raw Women's Championship reign at 399 days before going on hiatus due to pregnancy in May 2020. Lynch made her return at SummerSlam in August 2021, confronting Bianca Belair, whom she defeated shortly thereafter to reclaim the SmackDown Women's Championship for the fourth time.

In early 2023, her victory in the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship made her the sixth woman to achieve the Triple Crown in WWE, and after winning the NXT Women's Championship in September 2023, she became the sixth Grand Slam Champion in WWE history. Quin's personal life reflects her commitment to wrestling as well; she began dating fellow wrestler Colby Lopez, known as Seth Rollins, in January 2019, and their relationship was publicly acknowledged in April of the same year. They became engaged in August 2019, welcomed their daughter in December 2020, and tied the knot on June 29, 2021. Quin proudly represents her Irish heritage and, as of December 2025, has garnered 5.5 million followers on Instagram and 566,100 on TikTok.
