Betty Cantrell — Biography
Betty Andris Maxwell, born Betty Cantrell on September 1, 1994, hails from Warner Robins, Georgia. Her journey in the pageant world saw her claim the Miss Georgia title in 2015. Later that year, on September 13, she achieved national recognition when she was bestowed the Miss America 2016 crown by the outgoing Miss America 2015, Kira Kazantsev. This marked a significant achievement, as Betty became the first Miss Georgia to win the Miss America title since Neva Jane Langley, who was crowned Miss America in 1953.
