Brooke Burke — Biography

Brooke Burke-Charvet came into the world on September 8, 1971, establishing herself as a prominent television host and model throughout her career. The fourth of seven children born to Donna and George Burke in Hartford, Connecticut, she spent her formative years in Tucson, Arizona. While she pursued broadcast journalism studies at UCLA, her striking appearance caught the attention of major modeling agencies including Ford Models, leading to commercial work for brands like Bally Fitness clubs, Coca-Cola, and Discover Card.

Between 1999 and 2002, Burke achieved widespread recognition hosting Wild On!, a travel program on E! Entertainment Television that followed her journeys across the globe exploring popular destinations. She succeeded previous host Jules Asner in this role. Her modeling portfolio expanded into adult publications, appearing in BlueNudes.com early in her career and subsequently in Playboy magazines from May 2001 and November 2004, along with appearances in lifestyle publications Maxim and FHM. Maxim ranked her number 94 on their 2006 Hot 100 list. Throughout her early career, she underwent breast augmentation from D-cup to C-cup implants between her two Playboy features. Burke lent her voice as a character in the video game Need for Speed: Underground 2 and contributed to Trivial Pursuit Unhinged. She promoted fitness content through infomercials featuring "Gunnar Peterson's Core Secrets" in New Zealand and Australia, and appeared as a playable character in video games PocketBike Racer and Big Bumpin'.

Since 2005, Burke has hosted Rock Star on CBS, an American Idol-style reality competition identifying lead singers for rock bands. Beginning in July 2005, she was married to Dr. Garth Fisher since 2001 and shares two daughters with him. She subsequently began dating French-born actor David Charvet. On the Rock Star: Supernova episode aired September 6th, she announced her pregnancy. Following Charvet's proposal at a summer party reported by People Magazine on August 21, 2006, she delivered a daughter named Heaven Rain Charvet on January 8, 2007, and later had a son, Shaya Braven, in 2008. The couple married on August 12, 2011, but separated in April 2018, with their divorce finalized in March 2020. She took over from Alyson Hannigan as host of Penn & Teller Fool Us. As of December 2023, Burke maintains 573,000 Instagram followers.
