Cansu Dere — Biography

Born in Ankara on October 14, 1980, Cansu Dere is a Turkish talent recognized for her work as an actress, a former model, and a past Miss Turkey winner. Her early career saw her represent the Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters' Association on international stages, walking runways in Paris in both 2002 and 2003 and collaborating with notable photographers.

Dere gained significant television recognition between 2006 and 2008 for her portrayal of the character Sıla in the series of the same name, alongside Mehmet Akif Alakurt. Her film career includes a role as Defne in 2007's The Last Ottoman, where she shared the screen with Kenan İmirzalıoğlu. She continued her cinematic endeavors in the black comedy Acı Aşk in 2009.

From 2009 to 2011, Dere captivated audiences as Eyşan in the popular Ezel series. In 2012 and 2013, she took on the complex role of Firuze/Huymerya, an Iranian Safavid spy, in The Magnificent Century. More recently, she played Zeynep Güneş in the 2016-2017 television series Anne, with Beren Gökyıldız portraying her daughter, Turna/Melek. Between 2020 and 2022, Cansu Dere starred as Asya Yılmaz in Sadakatsiz, a Turkish adaptation of the British series Doctor Foster, broadcast on Kanal D. In this role, she was a co-lead with Caner Cindoruk and Melis Sezen.
