Chase Masterson — Biography

Christianne Carafano, known professionally as Chase Masterson, entered the world on February 26, 1963, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She would later be raised in West Haven, Connecticut, before pursuing higher education at the University of Texas. Masterson’s acting career gained significant momentum in 1994 with her portrayal of Ivy Lief on the popular soap opera General Hospital. A year later, she embarked on a five-year journey as the captivating Bajoran character Leeta, a dabo girl, on the science fiction series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, a role she held from 1995 to 1999. Masterson’s cinematic contributions include a starring role as a seductive vocalist in James Kerwin’s science fiction neo-noir film Yesterday Was a Lie, a project on which she also served as a producer. Furthermore, she lent her voice to the animated film Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles, embodying the character of Janice Em. On the small screen, Masterson has made notable guest appearances on shows such as ER and Sliders, where she played Kelly Welles, the sister of the character Wade Welles.
