Cherie Currie — Biography
Cherie Currie first gained widespread recognition as the dynamic frontwoman for The Runaways, the celebrated all-female hard rock ensemble that defined a significant part of the 1970s music scene. The band's legacy is further cemented by the fact that it served as a launching pad for two future rock icons, Joan Jett and Lita Ford. Beyond her musical career, Cherie has also pursued acting, contributing to various film and television projects since 1980. Her inaugural acting credit was portraying the character "Annie" in the movie "Foxes," a role she shared with fellow performers Jodie Foster and Scott Baio.
