Dakota Johnson — Biography

Dakota Mayi Johnson entered the world on October 4, 1989, and has established herself as both an actress and model in the United States. Born to performing parents Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, she was introduced to cinema at just ten years old through a small role in the 1999 dark comedy Crazy in Alabama, which featured her mother in a leading capacity. Her family discouraged her from pursuing an entertainment career during her teenage years, urging her to focus on completing her education first. Once she graduated from high school, Johnson relocated to Los Angeles and began attending auditions in earnest. She is the granddaughter of the legendary Tippi Hedren and the half sister of Stella Banderas.
