Donya Dadrasan — Biography

Donya Dadrasan, a talent born on March 14, 1997, is a Persian vocalist. Her journey began in Ponak, Tehran, the place of her birth on that spring day. At the tender age of seven, she took her first steps into performance, featuring in the series Khat Sefid, a production by the Iranian Children and Youth Group, and also appearing in a short film titled Paul. The years between eight and twelve marked the start of her formal musical education, where she studied piano under Farah Asanloo, a disciple of Anoushirvan Rouhani. By fifteen, she was already performing her craft professionally. A significant asset in Donya's musical development was her upbringing within a family where music was a central and constant part of daily life. The family relocated to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2010 when Donya was thirteen. Two years later, at fifteen, they moved again to Melbourne, Australia, where she commenced her singing career at sixteen. In 2015, as Instagram's popularity surged among Iranians, Donya rapidly gained recognition for her skillful renditions of both Iranian and international songs, shared through her Instagram profile.
