Elizabeth Malecki — Biography

Elizabeth Malecki carved out a niche in the gaming world with her portrayal of Sonya Blade in the inaugural Mortal Kombat video game back in 1992. Her acting credits also include an appearance in Gamesmaster in 1992 and the more recent Kamidogu: Kombat Lives Here in 2021. In the sequel, Mortal Kombat II, her presence was limited to Kahn's arena and the concluding cinematic for Jax Briggs. For Mortal Kombat 3, the role of Sonya was taken over by Kerri Hoskins. Since then, Malecki has largely steered clear of the public spotlight. Her background is rooted in dance, holding a degree in ballet and modern dance, and she has pursued careers as a professional dancer, actress, and aerobics instructor.
