Eve Hewson — Biography
Born Memphis Eve Sunny Day Hewson on July 7, 1991, this Irish performer now calls Williamsburg, Brooklyn home. She is the child of U2 vocalist Bono. Hewson's introduction to significant acting came with the 2011 dramatic picture, This Must Be the Place. Audiences saw her as Yvonne in the 2013 thriller Blood Ties and as Nurse Lucy Elkins in Steven Soderbergh's acclaimed series, The Knick, which aired from 2014 to 2015. In October 2015, she took on the role of Carol Donovan in Steven Spielberg's espionage film, Bridge of Spies, set during the Cold War. By November 2018, Hewson had stepped into the shoes of Maid Marian for Otto Bathurst's interpretation of Robin Hood. Most recently, in 2020, she held a leading part in the drama The Luminaries, an adaptation of Eleanor Catton's literary work.
