FKA Twigs — Biography
Born Tahliah Debrett Barnett on January 16, 1988, the artist FKA Twigs has established herself as a multifaceted British talent, excelling as a singer, songwriter, and dancer. Before stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist, she honed her skills as a backup dancer for a variety of musical acts. Her own musical journey commenced with the release of her debut EP, EP1, in 2012.
Her first full-length studio album, LP1, arrived in 2014 and achieved notable success, charting at number 16 on the UK Albums Chart and number 30 on the US Billboard 200. This album also earned a nomination for the prestigious Mercury Prize that year. Following this, FKA Twigs put out the EP M3LL155X in 2015. After a four-year interval, she returned with her second studio album, Magdalene, in 2019. Later, after joining forces with Atlantic Records, she delivered the mixtape Caprisongs in 2022.
