Gina Torres — Biography

Born on April 25, 1969, Gina Torres is an American performer celebrated for her significant roles on screen. She captivated audiences as Zoe Washburne, a formidable character in the 2002-2003 science fiction program Firefly, a role she reprised in the subsequent 2005 film, Serenity. Later, Torres commanded attention as Jessica Pearson in the acclaimed legal drama Suits, which ran from 2011 to 2018, and continued her portrayal in the show's 2019 spinoff, Pearson. Her ongoing work includes a starring role in the current series 9-1-1: Lone Star. Earlier in her career, Torres was seen on screen without clothing in the 1992 television series Unnatural Pursuits.
