Heike Makatsch — Biography
Heike Makatsch's journey began in Düsseldorf, Germany. Her father, Rainer Makatsch, was once a goaltender for the German national ice hockey team. Seeking to refine her English skills, she lived in New Mexico for several months in 1988. Subsequently, she pursued studies in politics and sociology at the University of Düsseldorf for four semesters. This academic path was then followed by a dressmaking apprenticeship, which concluded in 1994. Makatsch was notably in a seven-year relationship with British actor Daniel Craig. She is a mother to three daughters, born in 2007, 2009, and 2015. The first two of her children were born during her relationship with musician Max Martin Schröder, a member of the German indie band Tomte. Since 2015, she has been partnered with actor Trystan Pütter, who is the father of her youngest child.
