Im Na-yeon — Biography

Im Na-yeon, known to the world simply as Nayeon, is a celebrated vocalist hailing from South Korea. Her journey into the spotlight began with her participation in the 2015 reality competition series Sixteen. Following this, she rose to prominence as the lead singer of the acclaimed South Korean girl group Twice, managed by JYP Entertainment. For two consecutive years, in 2017 and 2018, Nayeon earned recognition in Gallup Korea's yearly music survey, securing the sixth position among the most favored Korean idols. Notably, she was the inaugural participant revealed for Sixteen and subsequently the first to be officially confirmed as part of Twice. In 2018, Nayeon was acknowledged for her striking looks, being placed 82nd on TC Candler's list of "The 100 Most Beautiful Faces." Before her involvement in Sixteen and her subsequent debut with Twice, Nayeon graced various television commercials. She also had a brief role in the second episode of the 2012 KBS2 Korean drama, Dream High 2. As of October 2025, Nayeon commands a substantial online presence, boasting 12.5 million followers on the social media platform Instagram. She is a key member of the K-Pop ensemble Twice, which also features Jeongyeon, Momo Hirai, Sana Minatozaki, Park Ji-hyo, Kim Da-hyun, Mina Myoi, Chaeyoung, and Chou Tzu-yu.
