Kat Von D — Biography

Kat Von D, born Katherine von Drachenberg, is a Mexican-American figure renowned for her skills as a tattoo artist, her presence on television, her ventures into business, and her musical pursuits. She gained widespread recognition primarily through her participation as a tattoo artist on the TLC reality series LA Ink. Her parents, René and Sylvia von Drachenberg (née Galeano), who served as missionaries for the Seventh-day Adventist Church, hail from Argentina. Their family heritage is a blend of German, Italian, Spanish, and Indigenous roots. On February 21, 2018, Kat Von D exchanged vows with artist Rafael Reyes. The couple welcomed a son into their family in November of that same year. Beyond her artistic endeavors, she was formerly at the helm of Kat Von D Beauty, a brand that has since been rebranded as KVD Vegan Beauty. In May 2021, Kat Von D unveiled her debut single, "Exorcism," which is featured on her album titled Love Made Me Do It.
